Have you ever noticed that top producers are usually successful in other aspects of living? There is a good reason for this. It takes solid sale habits to produce solid and consistent sales. Those that have achieved superior sales success will be the first to tell you that solid sales habits are an outgrowth of solid living habits.
If you don’t like the results your efforts are producing than you need to change your behavior. We all know people who expect new results from doing the same old things over and over again. Bad habits deliver the same old results. Good habits deliver good results. If you follow this truism you will recognize that success is the result of repeating the same proven behaviors over and over until they become second nature to you. Voila….you practice them from the outside in until they emanate from the inside out. The business landscape is littered with the carcasses of those who thought that success, happiness or spiritual nirvana could be slipped on like an overcoat, overlooking the inner journey required to make a transformation. Accepting this truism is especially central to forming and practicing solid sales habits. Remember that you are building these on a foundation that already includes a health perspective and maintaining a laser focus. Long-Range Lay out a solid sales strategy to follow then follow it. Team up with other professionals who share your goals and compliment your business skills. How To - There are many excellent trainers and coaches that can assist in objectives, business plans and support your execution. What with - There are many excellent marketing and sales tools available. Be sure you select marketing tools and services that mix the channels of communications and marketing approaches….don’t short change yourself. Using a third-party source will free you to concentrate on the process of selling. No matter how pure your intentions you cannot be all things to all people, especially to yourself. So reach out to service provider that has a proven track record of consistent delivery and a reputation for excellence. Short-Range Professional - Each day breakup your tasks into achievable goals but be sure to stretch yourself. It takes exceptional effort to deliver exceptional results. The objective is to be a top producer, mediocracy will not do. Personal - Prepare you daily mindset with a positive prospective that is beyond your immediate sphere. In addition to personal meditation consider this short exercise. Take a few moments each day and purpose to: 1) Accomplish one task that moves you closer to your goals; 2) Express gratefulness for one thing; 3) Bless someone who needs a blessing; 4) Forgive someone for something, let it go - you can’t receive unless you release and; 5) Wish for one thing good. Make of note of each at the start of the day and tally your totals at the end. You will be amazed with how many of these actions will be complete and the richness they will add to your living. Now, apply this same spirit to the service and support of your clients. These simple but solid sales habits will also make you a top producer.
