Learning to Take Control of Your Business
Written by Doug Smith

In busy times like these, some salespeople feel they have "lost control" of their business. The sheer volume of leads and all the work that comes along with them has consumed many of us to the breaking point. Business plans and marketing activities have flown right out the window in favor of just keeping heads above water. Is this bad? No! This is good!

Mastering the Power of Two A Lender’s Point of View
Written by Tom Ninness

Mastering the Power of Two
One of the strongest relationships from the lender’s point of view is the Realtor®/Lender partnership.  Being a mortgage professional for 28 years, I have established strong partnerships and my agents regularly hand out my card to their clients as I’ve earned the right to receive this elite status. Looking for relationships where I can become the only lender of choice is a key secret to the success of The Power of Two.  I don’t like to share, and part of my business plan is to contribute in the success of my Realtor® partners.  If you are an agent who hands out three business cards from three different mortgage professionals, then reconsider and stick with one that understands the power of two in the Realtor®/Lender relationship.

When Most Salespeople Quit
Written by Dirk Zeller

The reason that agents who pursue expireds and FSBOs are so effective in securing listings is because most agents either don’t attempt to compete, or, if they do, they compete on a haphazard basis, usually quitting long before the sale is made.

A Positive Day
Written by Ralph LoVuolo, Sr.

My mood was perfect. I wanted to be a part of the day, plus the money charged was going to charity. I wanted to do it regardless of the way it was set up. If I wasn’t able to get my own partner, I would allow them to pair me up with someone. The only drawback was that I wanted to play early on Sunday morning, not to start after 8:00 AM.

“Mr. LoVuolo, we have you set up with Mr. Givens, who just signed up today and also has no partner. Can you play at 7:00 tomorrow morning?” See, life is perfect. I was set to play in my first ever golf tournament at the golf club I joined this year. “Absolutely, if he doesn’t mind playing with a twenty-one handicap, I’d really like the opportunity.” “Fine, be here early to sign up and meet him, and we’ll get you both out with the Dempsey twosome.” “Great, I’ll be there.”

The World is Filled With Unfulfilled People…But why should you be one of them? [Book Excerpt]
Written by John Powers

Excerpted from the book “Odditude”

Walk down any street, ride any bus, stand in any room and look at the faces around you. Too often, bored, tired, stressed and unhappy expressions look back. Indifference drips from their souls.

Many people, it seems have yet to, and will never, come anywhere near completely unwrapping this gift of life. Because they refuse to accept how unique and ODD they are, they will leave this earth without traveling to the outer limits of their universe. They will not experience all the joy their spirit deserves.
