Fannie Mae Prices $501M Multifamily DUS REMIC under its GeMS Program - FNMA (Washington D.C.) Fannie Mae (FNMA/OTC) priced its third Multifamily DUS REMIC in 2011 totaling $501 million under its Fannie Mae Guaranteed Multifamily Structures (Fannie Mae GeMSTM) program on Thursday, July 14, 2011. The deal structure for this Multifamily DUS REMIC incorporates the built-in flexibility characteristics of combinable and recombinable (RCR) classes. All classes of this security, FNA 2011-M4, are guaranteed by Fannie Mae with respect to the full and timely payment of interest and principal. Yield maintenance prepayment premiums apply to all underlying loans. The structure details for the multi-tranche offering are included in the table below. |

ABA CChief Lobbyist Floyd Stoner Announces December Retirement- ABA (Washingtion) Floyd Stoner, executive vice president for congressional relations and public policy for the American Bankers Association, has announced he is retiring at the end of this year. Stoner joined ABA in 1985 after earning his Ph.D. in political science from the University of Wisconsin, teaching at Marquette University and working for the U.S. Congress.“The ABA is in good hands with its new leadership and now seemed the right time for a transition,” said Stoner. “I’m grateful to have worked with a group of passionate and devoted bankers as well as ABA’s talented and committed staff.” |

NRMLA Applauds Appointment of Galante As Acting FHA Commissioner - NRMLA - (07/12/11) National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association applauds the announcement today by HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan that Carol Galante has been designated by President Barack Obama as the Acting FHA Commissioner and Assistant Secretary of Housing. Galante assumes the new post after serving as Deputy Assistant Secretary for MultiFamily Housing since March of 2009. She came to the department with an impressive 22 year background with BRIDGE Housing in San Francisco, a non-profit company that is the largest developer of affordable housing in California. Galante served as President and CEO of BRIDGE since 1996. |
