| Attitude Makes A Difference! |
|
Speaker and author, Zig Ziglar proclaims "Your attitude affects your altitude," and he's right! When you have a bad attitude about things, you look for the negative. Thoughts and comments like: "Why make sales calls today? Nobody's in!" or "We need better pricing and products; our competition is killing us!" will certainly not motivate you toward actions. When attitude declines, so does your motivation and with it your activities. You brood, hang around the office, or worse, just go home. Certainly, external factors can affect your attitude and your motivation. Losing a big account, problems at home or lack of company support call can put the damper on your motivation for success. The key is being able to accept these things as part of life and fix them or put them behind you as fast as you can.Your attitude is like a thermostat that's primarily controlled by YOU and no one else. Coaching Great, Vince Lombardi once said, "It's not whether you get knocked down; it's whether you get back up!" Here are a few ideas for creating and maintaining a positive attitude:
Keep your attitude and your thermostat set on high this month, next month, and always. You'll notice an immediate difference in your motivation, your activities and your results.
