| Appreciate Your Past - Envision Your Future |
|
It's always the right time to acknowledge, support and serve those in our lives who support us with information, pleasure, time, love. This is the time of year when more actually do just that. To those of you to whom I have not said, "Thank you and I look forward to serving you more in our future," I am sharing my deepest gratitude for all you've given me and all you've allowed me to share with you. I envision for you, your brightest future. Whatever the degree of health, creature comforts, relationships we have, we know it could all be less or more. So, now is a perfect time for reflection on what's brought us to the best of where we are, who we've chosen to become, and gratitude for what we've accomplished. We need to appreciate our steps, baby and giant, and celebrate where we are in order to move forward with our own chosen clarity. It's also the time to focus for ourselves and others on those projects which we want to manifest. It is time to breathe fresh air towards what comes next. How will 2011 unfold for you? The details of HOW each day unfolds are a question. The direction of manifestation is a choice. We go where we look.. so to what are you looking in your most
We think in pictures. If you don't experience yourself as a "visual" thinker, substitute the word "images." Our thoughts are images at which we look. And we go, mentally, physically, emotionally where we look. When we view scenes of tragedy or beauty, we feel an e-Motion. Motion is movement and we "go" to those associated feelings. We can change our emotions, our movements, by looking to what we want or by changing the perspective we hold about what we are viewing. So the going is a by-product of our looking. Is the vision you're creating the dream you want to live? If yes - congratulations, and the time to reinforce and raise the bar on your vision, dreams, goals is now. If not - no problem - the new beginning is now. IDEAS FOR A PRODUCTIVE, MAGICAL AND MEANINGFUL 2011 1. STRETCH VISION: 2. PRACTICE BEING NOW WHO YOU WANT TO BE THEN: 3. WRITE 2 THINGS NIGHTLY: - A GRATITUDE JOURNAL. Your gratitude journal asks that you enter: 3 things for which you are grateful today. - A TO-DO LIST. 4. BALANCE YOUR LIFE: - DO SOMETHING SELFLESS WITH REGULARITY. Give back, pay back and forward and show gratitude now. This may mean expressing to others, all year, what has often been saved for the holidays. It may mean donating blood every two months, reading for the elderly, mentoring an at-risk child, volunteering a few hours at the local food bank, etc. Put your highest perspective and appreciation into regular application. - ASSOCIATE CAREFULLY. Surround yourself with supportive people who think and strive to think the way with excellence and integrity. Choose a mastermind group which has a desire to excel beyond its highest members' thinking. Read the wiser. Pick your partners, mentors, coaches carefully. Learn, share and work with the best. - READ A GOOD BUSINESS OR AUTOBIOGRAPHY each month. Keep yourself stimulated with input from great thinkers and doers. - EAT SMALL, NUTRITIOUS MEALS. Eat energizing snacks. Take supplements regularly. The nutrition in "live" food is far less than just a few short decades ago. Take care of your body. Good nutrition builds your nervous system, supports your attitude and decision making. - EXERCISE CONSISTENTLY. Make time for aerobic and weight bearing exercise. Don't listen to others or your own excuses about not having the time. Make the time for important things. You will pay a price one way or the other. One payoff is atrophy and pain; the other is energy and health. Make the choice to do what's right, not what's easy. - SMILE MORE. Make eye contact and smile. Give the gift of being the one to create the warmth in any environment. Smiling, like exercise, triggers endorphins and the neurotransmitters, dopamine and serotonin, which provide mental and physical energy and a sense of well-being. Think of the positive impact you create as multiplying as others pass on that attitude to people with whom they come in contact. - SLEEP WELL. Don't shrug off poor sleep patterns. Poor sleep can adversely affect your energy, attitude and learning capabilities. Decision making and personal courage are enhanced or diminished in proportion to being rested and vital. - LEAVE YOUR WORKDAY WITH A VICTORY. Don't go home until you have made a successful call, solved a real problem or done something positive and meaningful. Take the best of you home to share with those who care most for your well being. - CONSISTENTLY SPEND QUALITY TIME WITH THOSE IMPORTANT TO YOU. Be in your life. This is not a dress rehearsal. We have heard the sadness of families' loss based on "I didn't know what someone was thinking or feeling." Make the time to listen with your heart. Go beyond those who were your role models. - RELAX and SWITCH GEARS. Practice daily self hypnosis, yoga, meditation. It's all good. Pick something and do it long enough to get the real feel of it. If it's not your fit, do something else. Keep learning. - SAY "YES" to more and different opportunities. Taking on a challenge and small risk, can stimulate, re-invigorate and open doors you didn't know were there. Make yourself more interesting, attractive and charismatic by expanding your interests. It takes 2-4 weeks to change a habit or attitude. Select 1 or 2 or 3 of these ideas and implement them. Then add more. These are small steps that make huge differences for you and who you are, and what you do makes a difference in your world and the world. Some stuff really matters.
